PAN ON is a Samulnori performance that opens today’s pan—a shared festive space—together with the audience, igniting excitement and resonant energy. True to the name Samulnori 온:ON, “온” signifies a communal gathering where everyone comes together in harmony, while “ON” represents the moment when the switch is turned on—awakening music, rhythm, and joy. This performance focuses on the essence of Samulnori: breaking down the boundaries between performers and audience, stage and seating, to create a single, living pan. Rhythms and gestures, sounds and movements intertwine as one, forming an open stage where anyone—from children to adults, and audiences of all nationalities—can naturally join and participate.
